It’s been a hell of a week. Edwin had a car accident on Tuesday (it’s all right, he’s okay) but the car is – well, pretty much crunched beyond repair, but no matter. Edwin is okay and that’s all that counts.

I am busy planning my next Romance Novel – hopefully it won’t take me a year to write this time! But I cannot write a swooning heroine. I just can’t do it. Every time I would read a Mills & Boon at school – and they were like heroin – the girls passed around; dogeared the pages until the print faded and covers got torn off. I acquired at least two of their books with the last page missing. Since we know that the hero/heroine get-together at the end missing the final page may not be such a loss, but it was still infuriating.
Anyway, it seemed that most times whenever they heroine is faced with a difficult or dangerous situation she always puts her hand to her head and swooned; and I always wanted to smack them round the chops. I can’t bear females being portrayed as somehow more weak and feeble than their male colleagues simply because of their gender and I won’t do it.
Now all I have to do is find the right girl’s name. Edwin suggested Chloe, but that doesn't sound quite right. Not to worry I shall find the correct name eventually. Well hopefully from next week, things should get better. I have to drive myself down to the library but it only takes a couple of minutes and it’s quite fun on the scooter, although with the Winter nights drawing in it can be a little frightening sometimes. If only all this could have happened in Summer. Still that's me having a small whinge, things will get better.
