A Day Late - yes I know

I know that I’m a day late in posting up this blog – truthfully there wasn’t all that much to write yesterday, and to be quite honest it’s been a strange sort of week. I didn’t go to my Creative Writing Group on Tuesday; my right foot was horrendously swollen and my left knee was hurting and I was in chronic pain so I decided that hauling my frame up thirteen steps simply wasn’t worth it. I’m not even sure I’ll be able to do the homework for this week’s Creative Writing Group – I just can’t get into the subject matter. As it was a Saturday we went to the Perton Village Show – I had four entries; while Edwin had another four. Would you believe I didn’t even place, although Edwin came third in the Black & White Photograph Competition. It has been a really odd sort of day. We took my Mum and the dog out for the day and I think she had a really good time. It was a good day in that respect.

I am also busy preparing for this year’s NaNoWriMo and trying to decide whether to continue my Vampire Story; or write a completely different novel. Most people on both Facebook and Twitter are actually very helpful – although I still feel out of my depth with regard to using Twitter.The next phase is planning for NaNoWriMo which while I mostly enjoy – sometimes the thought of it fills me with dread. Well not dread exactly, it’s just drumming up the enthusiasm to write 50,000 words. Perhaps if I thought of this in terms of just writing approximately 2,000 today, I would feel better, rather than seeing it as an insurmountable obstacle I see it merely as a molehill knees flattening. I shall let you know how things go. It will be nice to write a novel that yes – it will need some editing – but I could have the second novel out in six months rather than a year or longer. Well no more news, I’m sorry that this is only a very short Blog but quite frankly I have absolutely nothing else to write. Maybe if I next Friday I will have.
