I finally got my Blog posted up on Friday! Yay! {Just made it!}

Today was a pretty lazy day as days go. I did a little bit of work this afternoon and I finally received the books – or rather copies of the books I have published on Amazon’s Kindle Platform. I would also have bought a copy of my poems but the book is too short to be printed under Amazon’s guidelines, so I had to use Lulu.com for that. (I’m rather regretting it now. But I said that I would do part of it and I have to say, although it took a great deal of time and effort, I am pleasantly surprised with the finished product. Although I doubt I’ll be getting any large royalties in the near future!) It has been quite a good week – even though I’m staying at my mum’s. I’ve been doing a bit of work – not as much as I’d like, I have to admit, mainly because my heart hasn’t been in it, and for proofreading you really need to keep your eyes on the ball, I have found to my cost that when I’m tired I can miss things, and obviously I want to so the best I can do for my client. I am still in two minds as to whether to take the books I had independently printed for myself, my very first NaNoWriMo was printed with Lulu’s POD (Print On Demand) Service and once I’d sorted out the problems with the cover it was brilliant. Below is the cover I finally chose for my NaNoWriMo Novel that I had printed at Lulu.com. It was only for me and I’m still fairly pleased with the finished product – it was the very first time I’d had a go at NaNoWriMo and actually managed to complete it. [Succeeding years haven’t been so successful.] But them’s the breaks. Maybe if I finish this Romance Novel I can give it a go this year.
