Funny Friday

I have moved across to my Wix Website to do my Blog, so they're a bit disorganised at the moment. So much for Plan A! Mind you, I often say to people that I'm working on Plan Z! On the plus side I have been writing loads of Fan Fiction recently. I doubt the second one will ever see the light of day - but only because it deals with something I have a very hard time believing in - and that is an Immanent God. For those of you who need some explanation, an Immanent God is a God who basically appears in the Here & Now whenever He is needed. You know, Tsunamis, Earthquakes, Meteor Strikes. I write about an immanent God, I write Fan Fiction about Angels, Heralds and Harbingers who (if you believe in an Almighty Creator) are sent as Messengers of God, but I'm not totallly sure that I can truly believe in such a God.

Having spent a number of years overseas I have seen enough inhumanity and just general nastiness that I find it hard to believe in such a God. When I see the cruelty in Man even to the animals beneath him I begin to wonder where God is. A Vicar friend of mine says that by actually doing something, taking on the abandoned kitten, stepping in to adopt the puppy that would otherwise go to a terrible kennel, then God himself (or herself, or itself - I'm not sure that the Almighty can be gender-specific) is visible. Well, this is the first of a new set of Blogs, we'll see how they go.
